Quoteskine is a collection of illustrated quotes by designer and illustrator Lee Crutchley. Basically, if it ended up in his Moleskine, it winds up on his blog. Lee does freelance graphic design in Staffordshire, England, and sells prints and greeting cards of many of the pieces you’ll find on Quoteskine.
Why did you start your blog? About two years ago I decided to quit my job, sell most of my things, and travel the world for a while. Once I got back, I made a pact with myself to try and produce something every day.
What’s one of your favorite things you’ve created? One piece that I keep going back to is the Heath “Why So Serious” drawing that I did. It was the first piece of Quoteskine work I did that really got noticed.
What are some of the rewards from sharing your art on Tumblr? I love making people think, and one of the great things about Tumblr is you can see people’s thoughts actually attached to your work. Quite often people reblog a piece of my work to simply make a comment about it, but sometimes people reblog it as an attachment to their own thoughts. I think as humans we all love to feel that people “get us” and reblogging something visual and relevant that clarifies that is one of the things I think Tumblr has enabled people to do.
What’s something about you that none of your followers know? I’ve never broken a bone but I did contract Dengue Fever while I was in Nepal. I also love to receive cool foreign sweets in the mail… hint hint.
Bonus Tumblrs!

Rejected New Yorker Cartoons will never be in print, but not for a lack of hilarity.

ELLE focuses on women’s fashion, beauty, health, and entertainment, and now they have a blog on Tumblr.

Mike Mitchell’s Tumblr of Amazing Things is a place where, by total coincidence, artist Mike Mitchell shares his work and other funny things.
